Traditional traceability relies on something being added to the product: a barcode, QR code, RFID tag, serial number, or other physical marking. But these identifiers can be damaged, removed or duplicated. They can also add cost, create waste, or simply be impossible to apply.
That is why we enable item-level traceability by using the item itself, rather than relying on external identifiers. A simple photo creates a unique digital identity, allowing even visually identical items to be distinguished from one another.
